A Heartfelt Send-Off: Cruise Specialists World Cruise Guests Begin Their Journey

There’s a unique kind of excitement that fills the air at the start of every new year—an excitement we at Cruise Specialists know very well. After months of preparation, anticipation, and meticulous coordination, we’re thrilled to share that over 400 of our World Cruise clients have officially embarked on the journey of a lifetime. Sailing with Holland America Line, Silversea, Seabourn, Viking, Princess, Cunard, Oceania, Azamara, Crystal and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, they are now settling in for extraordinary multi-month voyages around the globe.

For 39 years, our team has had the honor of preparing travelers for these transformational experiences. And while every voyage is different, one thing remains constant: our commitment to ensuring each guest begins—and ends—their journey feeling supported, excited, and completely at ease.

Preparation That Begins Long Before Departure

By the time embarkation day arrives, countless details have already been put into motion. Before guests even begin packing, our team has:

  • Ordered and arranged personalized gifts
  • Finalized cruise documents and ensured accuracy
  • Verified shore excursions and special requests
  • Coordinated onboard events
  • Double-checked every detail, leaving nothing to chance

For many of our guests, the thrill of a world cruise begins the moment they book. But the day before the ship leaves the pier—that’s when the real magic starts to unfold.

Warm Welcomes and Lasting Connections

For our larger hosted groups, Cruise Specialists staff and Voyage Hosts meet guests at the pre-cruise hotel to help with luggage, answer questions, and provide last-minute guidance. As excitement builds, these gatherings become opportunities to connect—meeting some clients face to face for the first time, while joyfully welcoming back those who have sailed with us before.

The evening before embarkation often becomes one of shared anticipation and warm conversation. It’s a time when friendships begin, travel dreams feel close enough to touch, and the months ahead sparkle with promise.

Embarkation Day: The Journey Begins

Departure day arrives with a mix of enthusiasm and emotion. Our staff ensure every guest makes it safely to the ship. Once on board, our Voyage Hosts take the lead, guiding guests through the start of their journey and setting the tone for a seamless, inspired adventure around the world, both on the ship and ashore on our exclusive Cruise Specialists excursions. And should anything unexpected arise, they’re in direct contact with our team back home—ready to resolve every detail swiftly and effortlessly.

Bon voyage to each of you—may your months at sea be filled with discovery, connection, and moments you’ll cherish forever.
