Greetings Fellow Cruisers,
I am still in Fort Mill SC, Pat is in NY. I am flying back for a month (Next Wed) to do “honey-do’s” while I’m on dry land.
Most recent experience was the “Ring of Fire” W C on the Regent Mariner – great ship, staff, itinerary, food and Cruise Specialists and Virtuoso clients. A new approach for Cruise Specialists guests were the private cars that were made available for personal tours.
What have I been doing since my last cruise? Completing the 2009 Regent Mariner world cruise DVD and tending to “my garden” and orchard of 15 semi dwarf fruit trees. The garden keeps the neighbors very happy with fresh vegetables. I also treated 5 neighbor ladies Monday to a 7 course, yes, seven course meal with Bananas Foster & French Vanilla ice cream for dessert (of course there was red & white wine with cocktails preceding dinner) they are our eyes and ears when we are on a cruise and do a great job.
My Favorite country & city? Country-New Zealand— English speaking, friendly people-clean-scenic- and great rack of lamb dishes. My Favorite city (cities)–Sydney but Rio and Buenos Aires are close behind, they all provide much to do and see.
Our next cruise is the Regent circumnavigation of South America in January – get to see good friends Terry Breen (storyteller & anthropologist) being a Slovak from Prague also helps. Jean Michel & Nan Cousteau are always a delight and many of the staff have become good friends and is always a pleasure to cruise with them.
Anyone care to join us?
Stay well and travel safe,
Bill Krupa & Pat Myers
