Justin Gibson

The seas will have a new mermaid in April 2016, thanks to the launch of Sirena by Oceania Cruises.

Sirena (which means mermaid) will be the result of a $40 million renovation to the former Princess ship.

In addition to growing their fleet in 2016 to 6 luxury mid-size ships, Oceania will:

  • Sail 90 new itineraries
  • Have 50 extended voyages
  • Add 20 new ports to their sailings
  • Offer a new 40 day sailing for re-positioning

“With the addition of Sirena to the Oceania Cruises fleet we can expand the realm of possibilities and stretch our imagination when it comes to itinerary planning, providing our guests even more options,” said Jason Montague, president and chief operating officer for Oceania Cruises.

SIRENA

The 684-passenger ship will service in April 2016, joining the Insignia, Regatta and Nautica in their R-Class.

“The inaugural season features an entirely new lineup of 10- to 14-day voyages, artfully blended with a mix of classic and new destinations throughout the Mediterranean, including two voyages venturing as far west as Seville and Lisbon.”

The inaugural sailing will be April 27th, 2016 from Venice to Barcelona! After that the Sirena will remain in the Mediterranean throughout the summer with sailings to Venice, Paris, Istanbul and Athens.

In September, they will begin sailing Barcelona to New York and by December enjoying explorations from Los Angeles.

What should you expect aboard the Sirena?

  • four unique, open-seating restaurants
  • a world-class fitness center and spa
  • eight lounges and bars
  • a casino
  • 342 suites and staterooms
  • neo-classical furnishings

Reservations are now open and our team is ready to help you find the perfect sailing.
