World cruisers often find themselves returning for many more after the first because of the wonderful relationships they develop not only with other passengers, but the crew.
In fact we couldn’t have said it any better than in this letter from Patrick and Raina to Cruise Specialists agent LynnDee during their Holland America Asia and South Pacific Cruise:
Seeing the crew families come on board in the 2 Indonesia ports was very emotional for us. Our room steward got to see his 4 month old daughter for the first time and wanted to share his family with us.
Many families drove 12 hours to the ship to spend just a few hours on the ship with their love ones. They were in awe of the ship. The children were priceless. What an experience.
After visiting many of these ports of call, we will never complain about traffic, air quality, and our living standards. This trip has been a real eye opener for us.
In Bali our dining room manager from this summers’ Canadian Cruise on the Veendam met us at the pier and gave us an all day tour of Bali. We really got to see the Bali culture. We really enjoyed our time with him.
The assistant dining room manager gave us a private 45 minute tour of the kitchen. We invited John and Jean Peterson to go with us.
Now we have a better understanding how the kitchen operates and the challenges they face. It was a wonderful tour. Also the 2nd Executive Chef has made a several special meals for us in the Lido.

“We are having the voyage of a lifetime and enjoying every minute. We feel so blessed to be able to do this cruise and see this part of the world. Every port of call has been different and unique.“
Another fantastic email our specialist LynnDee received from client Richard S on a Holland America World Cruise that passed through the Panama Canal:
I just want to say thanks for not giving up on me, and as you said, there are many people who have traveled many times on the world cruise. A lady by the name of Dolly has done the world cruise 14 times. The people have made me feel real comfortable, they say we are just one big happy family, I like that!!
We love to hear your stories, so keep sharing them with your Cruise Specialists agent and when you’re ready to make new stories of your own, our team of experts is ready to help.
