An Inside Look at Seven Seas Explorer

Lisa Vongphachanh

If you are curious to know more about Regent Seven Seas Cruises ships, look no further! Cruise Specialists Cruise Consultants, Gillian Clark and Teresa Skeim, provide a first-hand account of what it is really like on Regent’s Seven Seas Explorer.

Unveiling Elegance

From the moment they stepped on board, Gillian and Teresa were impressed with the elegance and sophistication. The ship’s interior boasts exquisite marble floors, opulent chandeliers, and lavish furnishings that create a sense of grandeur. Every inch of the ship is meticulously designed to provide a luxurious ambiance, ensuring you feel like royalty from the very beginning of your journey. Amid all the luxury touches, Gillian commented that some may assume a formal dress code would be in place. However, that is not the case at all. Aboard Regent’s elegant ships, guests enjoy a “resort casual” dress code.

Gillian really appreciated the feeling of joy she noticed throughout the ship – as they toured both public areas and guest suites, staff throughout were not stuffy or formal; they were happy, pleasant and genuinely ready to be of service.

Extravagant Accommodations

Teresa felt immediately at ease stepping into the suites. The butlers were standing by ready to welcome new guests with personalized service. They had already placed fresh flowers in their vases, champagne on ice, and stocked other pre-ordered items. The suites on Seven Seas Explorer redefine the meaning of luxury. Each suite is impeccably designed with the finest materials, featuring spacious living areas, marble-appointed bathrooms, and private balconies that offer breathtaking views of the open sea. Teresa commented that even the minimum category Veranda suite felt roomy and comfortable with its walk-in closet and numerous other touches that make each suite easy to settle into – plush bathrobes, lighted makeup mirror, multiple electric outlets, roomy balconies, and more.

Culinary Delights

On Seven Seas Explorer, you can indulge your taste buds in a symphony of flavors crafted by world-class chefs. The ship offers a variety of gourmet dining venues, each promising a unique culinary experience. From succulent steaks at Prime 7 to delectable French cuisine at Chartreuse, and the freshest seafood at Pacific Rim, every meal is a celebration of culinary artistry.

Gillian and Teresa enjoyed lunch in Chartreuse. They found the service to be impeccable – both knowledgeable and unobtrusive.  Each item was served, and drinks replenished, without interruption to conversation. The lobster with melon appetizer was a hit and they also enjoyed the mushroom soup, filet mignon and fish entrée.  Gillian also noted the dishes in various dining rooms had the names of the restaurants printed on them – a design touch that she felt makes you feel like “you are dining in a different part of the world each time.”

Relaxation and Rejuvenation

Another area that left a positive impression on Gillian was the welcoming Serene Spa.  After a day of exploring, pamper yourself with a soothing massage or unwind in the steam room.  Gillian particularly liked the outdoor area with teak deck and aft-facing infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The modern fitness facility on board also ensures you can maintain your desired workout routine.

Entertainment and Enrichment

While Gillian and Teresa did not get to personally experience the onboard entertainment, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is known for entertainment that rivals the best Broadway shows. From dazzling musical performances to engaging lectures by experts in various fields, there is always something to captivate your senses.

Exploring Captivating Destinations

One of the most exciting aspects of sailing on Seven Seas Explorer is the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most exotic destinations. Whether witnessing the awe-inspiring beauty of Alaska, cruising the emerald seas of the South Pacific or exploring historic sites of Southeast Asia, each port of call offers a new adventure waiting to be discovered.

Teresa highly recommends taking advantage of special promotions as Regent frequently offers free air or a free pre- or post-cruise package, providing great opportunities to experience your destination more in depth.

All-Inclusive Luxury Experience

The Seven Seas Explorer was launched as “The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built™.”  Gillian confirms that Regent’s product is consistently excellent from ship to ship and the all-inclusive amenities are “second to none.” With the unlimited shore excursions, free wi-fi, free specialty dining, unlimited beverages (including fine wines and spirits), and gratuities already included in your fare, a voyage aboard Seven Seas Explorer is an experience where every detail is carefully crafted to provide you with the utmost comfort and enjoyment.
