Instead of spending the first of the year planning for far off dates, the Cruise Specialists team packed up and flew to Fort Lauderdale to greet over 200 guests leaving on the 2015 Grand World Voyage aboard Holland America Line.
From the moment our guests arrive in baggage claim they are met by transportation who whisks them off to the Renaissance Plantation Hotel for their free night stay prior to cruising. All of this is part of the services provided to Cruise Specialists World clients because we want to ensure every moment of the trip is stress-free, fun and friendly.
After arriving at the hotel, guests were greeted by long time hosts Henk and Lucia Barnhoorn and Tom Mullen, along with Cruise Specialists consultants and our Senior Vice President Annie Scrivanich.
We don’t just talk about making our clients feel special, we go the extra mile to ensure they are wrapped in it!
Each guest received their welcome bag with this years embroidered maroon windbreaker, tickets for their land tours and access to a reserved shuttle for any last minute shopping needs.
But that wasn’t the end of the fun!
After resting up, passengers and staff gathered for a final farewell cocktail hour and dinner. Old friends reconnected and new friends were made as everyone talked about what was to come over wine, hors d’oeuvres and to die for 3 layer chocolate cake.
Finally it was time to bid a final farewell, as our team loaded everyone in to the scheduled coaches to transport all of their luggage in advance to the ship!
No dragging around extra suitcases or hunting for a cab, just an air conditioned ride to check-in and sail away for the 2015 Grand World Cruise.
While this was the final moment for us to enjoy this trip, our guests will enjoy a number of Cruise Specialists only events on board the ms Amsterdam and of course the expertise and care of our wonderful hosts!
