Yesterday, Viking Odin docked in Kinderdijk, a village in the Netherlands noted for its 19 windmills that were built around 1740. The largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands, they have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
To get to the windmills, we simply walked off Viking Odin and across the street, where we could walk, or as part of our tour, board a small boat for a 20-minute excursion on the water.
