Me in Athens
I took an amazing cruise through the Greek Isles with Oceania, and it honestly reminded me why I love cruising so much.
I sailed from Athens and visited some of those picture-perfect places you always see—Mykonos, Santorini, Crete—and they really do live up to the hype. One day I was wandering through whitewashed streets, the next I was taking in these incredible cliffside views over the Aegean. Every stop felt a little different, which kept it exciting the whole way through.
What I really loved, though, was how easy everything felt. The ship is smaller, so we were able to get into ports that feel more authentic and not as crowded, and we had more time to actually enjoy each place instead of rushing back to the ship.
And I have to say—the food was a highlight. Oceania is known for it, and now I get why. Every meal felt thoughtful without being stuffy, and it was something I genuinely looked forward to each day. The whole vibe onboard is just relaxed, comfortable, and a little elevated in the best way.
Overall, it was one of those trips where everything just clicked—great destinations, great pace, and an experience that felt really easy from start to finish. If the Greek Isles are on your list, this is such a great way to do it.
