I’m currently on Crystal Serenity attending Crystal’s 22nd Annual Sales Achievement Awards Gala. The event recognizes top-selling travel agents for Crystal Cruises. Though most of the news from the gala has been trade-oriented and was reported this week in Cruise Week, there has been a fair amount of news that could be of interest to avid cruisers. Earlier this week, I reported on Crystal’s new 12/9/7 itineraries, but the take-away for many cruise-sellers was Crystal’s early announcement of its 2015 world cruise. 2013/2014 are already on the books – of course.

The 108-day 2015 World Cruise on Crystal Serenity is a full circumnavigation. Available also in six segments, the cruise begins in Miami on January 15, 2015, and ends May 4 in Miami. It will be Crystal’s first circumnavigation of the globe, with 11 overnights, plus double overnights in Auckland and in Capetown.

The six world cruise segments:

  • Miami to Callao/Lima (16 days)
  • Callao/Lima to Auckland (19 days)
  • Auckland to Perth (21 days)
  • Perth to Cape Town (21 days)
  • Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro (15 days)
  • Rio de Janeiro to Miami (16 days)

The 2015 world cruise on Crystal Serenity marks the company’s 20th, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Crystal Cruises.
