Thanks for this most interesting and informative review of your fjords cruise. We shall be visiting Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger, but unfortunately not Geiranger. Instead we go on to the Faroe Islands and Iceland….thanks again

Excellent post and great advice, especially not to be “penny wise and pound foolish.” I would add to #4 to request that any on board booking be linked to your travel consultant so that they can handle all of the details of the booking. If the cruise line can’t automatically link the booking to the agent, be sure to advise your agent upon returning home so they can claim the reservation and handle it for you from that point on.

Hi – thanks for your review. I have read (already) that guests are required to pay an admission charge for le Champagne restaurant (or maybe it’s a set cost) of $200 and also a charge is made for entering the spa. My husband and I are considering this ship for a cruise in December 2010, and confirmation of this would be very useful, plus any other hidden charges.
