In a way, I wish I had waited to cruise with my kids on Allure of the Seas. Had I done so, I would have been tempted to bring along some of their friends, because today Royal Caribbean announced a special offer for families: Book up to three staterooms for summer sailings (June, July and August) and receive a $600 on-board spending credit. SeaDream Yacht Club docked alongside Oasis of the Seas
During the Christmas holidays, SeaDream Yacht Club President Bob Lepisto sailed with his family in the Caribbean and captured this photo, which shows one of the world’s smallest passenger vessels, SeaDream I, docked alongside the world’s largest, Oasis of the Seas.
The 225,282-ton, 5,400-passenger Oasis of the Seas made waves as she entered US waters this week as the newest and certainly the biggest cruise ship in the world. Families are a large market for Royal Caribbean and naturally their new flagship has some amazing stuff for children.

More innovation: Oasis introduces digital signage, which looks like a giant iPhone (actually it’s a Samsung flat-panel monitor turned on its side). The system makes it easy for guests to find their way around the ship or browse what’s going on as well as restaurant occupancies.
