Seabourn Sojourn

About once every year Seabourn invites its top travel agency partners onboard one of its ships for a review of their products, to meet with executives and to remind us why we love Seabourn. I was lucky enough to attend this year and have the opportunity to sail aboard the all-new Seabourn Sojourn. We spent two nights onboard cruising around the turquoise Caribbean waters.

AMA Waterways Danube Europe River Cruise Review

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

In October 2010 I had the pleasure of travelling with AMA Waterways from Nuremberg

to Budapest aboard the elegant Amadagio. This luxury river cruise product was wonderful from start to finish.

The staterooms were modern and luxurious with large marble bathrooms and huge glass showers – the shower heads had six different spray levels. My stateroom had large floor-to-ceiling sliding doors with a French Balcony that opens up for fresh air. The largest suite aboard the Amadagio is 230 sq. ft. featuring a French balcony, large tub and separate shower.

days departing November 28, 2010 from Los Angeles. It had been 13 years since my last Crystal cruise aboard the Harmony, so I was anxious to see if it would be as wonderful as I remembered…I am happy to report that my expectations were exceeded and then some!

Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas Ship Review

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

Last month top Travel Agents were invited to attend Royal Caribbean International’s special 2-day preview cruise aboard the all-new Allure of the Seas. The Allure of the Seas is a destination within itself – holding 5,400 guests with seven distinct neighborhoods; quite a different experience than I have become accustom when sailing.

AmaLyra River Vessel

AMALYRA River Vessel

Last month I travelled from Prague to Budapest aboard AMA WATERWAYS AmaLyra river cruise. From start to finish this river cruise was terrific. We were even lucky enough to experience some of the famed Christmas Markets along our route!

Our Cabin, number 327, was a B Category with a comfortable 170 sq ft. The marble-appointed bathroom and large shower with three shower heads and six settings was very impressive. The complimentary in-room internet was much appreciated when the signal was strong. After a

Crystal Symphony Ship Review

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Last month my friend and I traveled aboard Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Symphony through Canada and New England. Let me just say that Crystal Cruises delivers an excellent product from start to finish.

Beginning with my private transfer, booked through Crystal Cruises, we were picked up from JFK airport in New York City in a very large SUV and taken to the New York cruise pier. The driver was friendly; the vehicle was clean and extremely spacious for just the two of us. Once at the cruise terminal the check-in process was a snap!  No waiting in lines, since we had an overnight in port we were able to arrive later than normal, about 8:30pm and were escorted right to our stateroom.

Holland America Line ms Zuiderdam Ship Review

Aft Pool With San Francisco Backdrop

On a gorgeous warm fall day my colleagues and I headed to the cruise pier in San Francisco to inspect Holland America Line’s ms Zuiderdam. With eleven decks and holding a mere 1,916 guests the ms Zuiderdam isn’t large by today’s standards, but she is large enough to offer all the creature comforts you could possibly ask for.

Holland America Line Bermuda Cruise Review

Hamilton & ms Veendam

Hamilton & ms Veendam

We just got home from our 7-day Bermuda cruise aboard Holland America Line’s ms Veendam. In spite of Earl and Fiona, we had smooth seas and good weather.  Bermuda was a new destination for us and we regret waiting so long to visit this colorful island.  One of the smallest territories in the world at 22 square miles, Bermuda’s population of 67,000 makes it the 3rd most densely populated place on earth.

Regent Seven Seas Voyager Ship Review

Seven Seas Voyager

Seven Seas Voyager

This past June, I had the pleasure of travelling aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ all-suite, all-balcony luxurious Seven Seas Voyager. I have to say, the worst part about Regent is that you eventually have to get off the ship and go home.
