Seven Seas Voyager

Seven Seas Voyager

This past June, I had the pleasure of travelling aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ all-suite, all-balcony luxurious Seven Seas Voyager. I have to say, the worst part about Regent is that you eventually have to get off the ship and go home.

Monday, April 26th, 2010

This letter was sent to Cruise Specialists agent Shannon Nelson from her client Mr. Rob McGregor

Hi Shannon,

I am writing this in order that you may be able to send it on to Marc Conroy at Regent and anyone else you feel should receive it. As you are aware we had a very enjoyable cruise this past November/December aboard the Mariner from Sydney to Los Angeles.

Regent Voyager World Cruise Update

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Because of the social and political unrest in Thailand, there was some concern about traveling into Bangkok. Regent offered all of their passengers on the World Cruise one night in Bangkok complete with deluxe hotel, transfers, meals and a cocktail cruise on the Chao Phraya River at sunset. The weekend prior to our arrival there were 100,000 protesters on the streets of Bangkok. Several days before our scheduled stay, the protesters began collecting their own blood which would be used in upcoming marches. The leaders of the Red Shirts declared class warfare and vowed to shut the city down. So things didn’t look too promising! We also had private car arrangements pending for some of our guests. Our tour operator and the ship’s staff kept us apprised of the situation and the decision was made to go ahead with the excursion to Bangkok.

Update from Cruise Escorts Susan Atkins & Kevin LaGraff

09-18-09

Kevin and I boarded the Regent Mariner on 9/9/9 for the Grand Asia Pacific cruise for 102 nights.  We will be cruising around the Ring of Fire leaving from Vancouver to Alaska, Russia, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia and ending in Los Angeles on 12/20/09.  It will be an exciting trip to interesting parts of the world.

In April we finished our 9th world cruise on the Regent Voyager.  It was one of the best circumnavigations we have been on–filled with exciting ports, good weather and wonderful travel mates.

We spent the month of May on a 6000 mile road trip from Florida to California.  It was a great way to visit with family and friends while seeing the USA in springtime.  America is a vast country best observed from the road.  From the swamps of Florida to the Continental Divide to the vineyards of California there is so much to see.  The great plains of the upper Midwest are at their loveliest in spring with lilacs and fruit trees in full bloom.  Driving across this country gave us a greater appreciation of the diversity and beauty of the nation we call home.

If you havent heard, Regent has announced their 2011 world cruise on the Voyager. We will once again be escorting the Voyager world cruise for Cruise Specialists.
