Letter to Mark Conroy – From Cruise Specialists Passenger Rob McGregor

Hi Shannon,
I am writing this in order that you may be able to send it on to Marc Conroy at Regent and anyone else you feel should receive it. As you are aware we had a very enjoyable cruise this past November/December aboard the Mariner from Sydney to Los Angeles.
We both felt that the Mariner was the best Cruise ship we had sailed on in our cruising history. Great “Ride” and the vessels’ interior design is the best example of Art Deco these old eyes have seen.
I believe that Regent should take advantage of that somehow in their on-board lectures or sea day ship tours. But the main reason I felt compelled to write is my more recent experience aboard the Mariner sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Monaco. As good as our experience was from Sydney to Los Angeles.
This last cruise was even better. Personally, I credit the General Managers’ ability to manage his staff and constantly fine tune their execution. Carlo was the GM on both cruises but with more time aboard he has managed to raise the level of conviviality and service aboard the Mariner.
There were many department heads doing a very well coordinated job of seeing to the passenger experience but the one constant is Carlo the GM. Mr. Conroy needs to be aware of how pleasurable Regent has made our recent cruises with them.
This is my first letter of this sort in well over 50 cruises and I feel better after writing it.
